Undervalued

The law of unintended consequences is frequently underestimated in my opinion. That’s what this blog is all about, the law of unintended consequences, for example when the technologies we build bite back with vengeance.

I see a lot of straight line thinking in media and politics. Problem calls forth solution. Too many criminals, create more prisons. Problem/solution, like a reflex reaction.

But the attempt to fix nature leads to more bodges and mess until the whole system loses its internal coherency.

Modern society is full of the history of failed sticking plaster solutions.
