My dad booked me an El Al flight to Tel Aviv. I had to fly from Heathrow. Lots of Orthodox Jews praying in the terminal. When I got there the heat. I was staying in a hostel in this kind of Bauhaus area. There was a shopping centre. Everywhere gaudy Hebrew script. Fast cars. Radio.
Israel is kind of like a strip of land. The male uniform was blue jeans, gel hair, white t shirt. Strip malls and donut joints everywhere. Pylons.
Jerusalem was like a nest of medieval buildings, security. Lovely stone homes full of families. Americans. Universities.
went to Golan heights. Saw that Israel is a small valley. Tel Aviv searing gloss towers. Beaches. Gay scene was kind of crazy. Street food. Old buildings. New buildings.
