People say we should get your act together as a human species, end the age of the plunderers. But how do you get consensus on anything? Socialism is too polarising to be a global solution.

40 million Americans are destitute. Venezuela can sort its own problems out. Interventions rarely work out well.

43 million Americans live in Poverty. If you add the number of people considered to be living “near poverty” that figure becomes 100 million, almost 1/3 of the population of the USA.

isn’t poverty intrinsic to civilization? I mean a pyramidical structure. I guess some societies have a more even distribution of wealth. Inequality in the USA is just extreme but all societies on the industrial model must have inequality?
