”The things of this world exist! They are! You can’t refuse them”. Lao Tzu
Was thinking about how I dislike many elements of the world. Violence, brutality, poverty, ignorance, social awkwardness, hatred, aspects of new technology. Then soon thinking how futile it is to try and ‘refuse’ the things of this world, they exist right enough. We can’t wish they didn’t exist. Just a simple truth from 2500 years ago.
I like social awkwardness–I think it can be rich and fruitful. possibilities, newness. something other than routine. anyway, Lao Tzu was wonderful.
